Blizzard's CEO Mike Morhaime " there are no plans for esports for DIABLO 3"

That’s just bad news for competitive players and if we add the lack of PvP within Diablo 3  to the equation I would say Blizzard has kick a lot of players in the *&^;  Morhaime revealed  During at a press conference held at Blizzard’s Battle.net World Championship in Shanghai last weekend that they are not interesting turning their RPG into competitive tournament play.

“Diablo 3 was never really designed to be an eSport, and not every game necessarily needs to be an eSport,” Morhaime said.

He also explained

“In order to do that, you really need to get everything right and you have to have the depth of strategy, you have to look at making sure that the strategies that are successful are balanced, and fun, and entertaining to watch, and all those things.”

Let’s just hope this is just temporary and that they will sort this out for the benefit of the competitive community

Sony PlayStation 3 Master Key Cracked ! pirates will be able to play pirated games

A group of hackers by the name of  “The Three Musketeers”, had released an equivalent of the ps3 “master key”  for sony game console. This keys allow decrypting PS3’s level 0 (lv0) security layer used by the primary boot loader and therefore create custom firmware completely compatible with the console itself, but which allows running pirated games.
Sony uses the lv0 keys to safeguard the firmware of the PlayStation 3. After update 3.60 the lv0 keys were also used to authenticate the software. With the release of the lv0 keys to the web, hackers are able to change existing and future PlayStation 3 firmwares. Since the lv0 key is put into the Cell CPU during manufacturing it is unlikely that Sony will be able to restore the protection of the PlayStation 3 with a new update and with the PS3 firmware decrypted also the new PSN authentication key is easy to grab, reports The Hacker News web-site.

Valve : "Left 4 Dead 3 Needs To Be ' More Than A New City, 4 Characters' user generated content might hit consoles

Left 4 Dead 3 would need to offer players more than simply "a new city with four characters," according to Valve's Chet Faliszek.

as we all know Left 4 Dead 3 is under development and valve doesn't want to bore players with the same content for their new game

His comments come as Valve prepares to extend Left 4 Dead 2's life with user-generated content via Steam Workshop. Asked if that new longevity would dent the cahances of a new sequel Faliszek told NowGamer: "One does not negate the other. I think if and when it makes sense and we are ready, you will see a new game but I think what that looks like needs to be more than a new city with four characters. But anything more is pretty speculative."

The developer wouldn't be drawn on whether that could mean a radical new directionsuch as an MMO, or open-world approach.

Asked whether L4D2 might ultimately head into the same free-to-play territory as Team Fortress 2, Faliszek said Valve will think about the future once it releases the new customisation features.

"We wanted a tool that could create new experiences with existing maps and also allow designers more control over the more gamey elements to allow them to make their own game modes," he explained. "This is really a natural expansion over some of the user and Valve created Mutations. With this, we need to do some work on match-making to make it all discoverable. As to the future, we are going to release the tools, the Workshop and go from there."

The developer also gave Xbox 360 gamers a glimmer of hope that future user generated content might hit consoles, despite Valve focusing on the tools for PC.

"While it wasn’t the quickest DLC, Cold Stream taught us a bunch on moving over user generated content to the consoles and at least one form it could take," Faliszek added. "We still have a big player base on the 360, so it is something we definitely think about but it is something we will need to work on and experiment t,o as what form it comes in."

Left 4 Dead's recent Payday: The Heist crossover also proved popular - but will more be forthcoming? "I hope so," the developer said. "People can feel free to contact me/us about it. We have had some fun little back and forth with other games in our graffiti text but this was the most involved interaction."

Anybody hoping for more movie tie-ins along the lines of the Super 8 level and mootedCabin in the Woods L4D level may be disappointed however. "While we have been asked before for crossovers, this was really a rare occurrence of our loving and respecting the people involved and their completely getting video games," comes the response to the latter. "We never got past the discussion level as the businesses underlying the movie changed, too bad – it would have been fun."

Call of Duty: Black Ops II PC : No mood tools, servers no for rent combined with matchmaking sistem

We just have receive the news that MOD TOOLS wont be avaiable this time for pc players due to increased technical requirements, licensing restrictions, and technology dependencies " BS i would say" and the worst pc players wont be able to rent dedicades servers with custom rules even though Treyarch asure us that there will be plenty of servers for everyone

here is the rest of the information

What anti-cheat will be used?

Anti-cheat is a top priority for Call of Duty®: Black Ops II. We have developed our own proprietary server-side anti-cheat technology which will work alongside VAC to deliver the most advanced detection and banning capabilities of any Call of Duty game to date. We have also improved our player reporting system to make it the most effective way that you can help us catch cheaters. And starting on launch day we will have a full-time dedicated pc anti-cheat team focused solely on detecting and banning cheaters. We have a zero tolerance policy on cheating. Cheaters bans are permanent.

Will Black Ops have Matchmaking or Dedicated Servers?

Both! Call of Duty®: Black Ops II PC combines matchmaking with secure ranked dedicated servers. This means that you get into Public Matches or League Play via matchmaking lobbies. It is easy to party up and play with your friends. You can adjust your classes or scorestreaks between matches. It also means that every Public or League match is hosted on a dedicated server running in one of our high bandwidth datacenters around the globe.

Will you release the server files?
No. We are keeping the server files secure to protect the game from hacking and cheating and ensure the ranking and progression system integrity.

Can I rent a server?
No. We are providing a huge number of servers around the world at no extra charge – plenty for everyone to enjoy. And we will administer the servers.

Will there be mod tools?
No. As we continually improve and advance our in-house tools for our own content teams we are unable to provide consumer tools due to increased technical requirements, licensing restrictions, and technology dependencies.

Nintendo's wii U console and games will be region locked !

Nintendo has revealed that the Wii U will be region-locked once it releases this November, so those of you who had plans to import certain games are fresh out of luck.

This means that games bought in the U.S., Europe, or Japan can only be played on a machine from the same region. The majority of Nintendo’s past hardware has been region-locked so it’s no surprise that the Wii U is also, however with both Sony and Microsoft allowing developers to choose it’s odd that Nintendo would decide to force the option.

Of course this is only an issue if you enjoy playing games that don’t always get a release in your territory or come out earlier in another

World of Warcraft may secretly include your account name and server IP in screenshots

Repeating patterns embedded in screenshots taken with WoW’s game client application can be decrypted to identify you, a report on Slashdot suggests. Posters on the OwnedCore forum claim that the watermark can be decoded to reveal user IDs, the time the screenshot was captured and the IP address of the server.

“A few days ago I noticed some weird artifacts covering the screenshots I captured using the WoW game client application,” says Slashdot poster kgkoutzis. “I sharpened the images and found a repeating pattern secretly embedded inside. I posted this information on the OwnedCore forum and after an amazing three-day cooperation marathon, we managed to prove that all our WoW screenshots, since at least 2008, contain a custom watermark.”

We’ve tried this, following the instructions on the OwnedCore forum, and our screenshots do indeed contain a repeating pattern which was not replicated in thirdparty screenshot apps. There may be plausible reasons for Acti-Blizz doing this: the watermark could be used to track down players who are running private servers, or otherwise breaking the terms of service, and have been silly enough to take a picture of their infringing activity. But the concern is that broadcasting user IDs may leave players open to stalking, griefing and phishing scams.
